INVERTERS

What is an Inverter?

An inverter is an electronic device that converts direct current (DC) electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity. This conversion allows DC power from sources like batteries and/or solar panels to be used to power residential devices that require AC power, such as laptops, TVs, fridges / freezers and lights.

Inverters are essential for off-grid and backup power systems, enabling them to operate household, commercial or industrial equipment that typically runs on AC power.

They come in various sizes and capacities to accommodate different power needs, from small portable inverters for emergency use (eg to power your electronic devices during load shedding) to large inverters tied in to solar and / or batteries for powering entire homes or businesses during prolonged outages.
